The assignment is to implement housing for 300 students, common areas and a daycare at the southern edge of the campus ETH Zürich Hönggerberg, Switzerland. The morphology of the rural surrounding and the translation of the parameters given by the brief of the areal Masterplan (by Kees Christiaanse), a typology of urban villas seems the right answer. The small scale of the typology responds to the existing buildings in the area. On urban scale the typology ensures a good relationship with the rest of the campus and creates high quality space where people want to meet. The framework of the buildings allows flexibility in such a way that units can be added together and functions can be altered as needed.
